Privacy Policy

Rootar Studio (“we”, “us”) sells custom hand-painted Lebanese glass commissioned through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it’s handled.

1. What we collect

When you place an order, we collect:

• Contact details — your name, email, and optional phone number, so we can confirm the order and discuss your design.
• Your design brief — the vision text and any reference images you upload, so Carla can paint your piece.
• Shipping address — collected by Stripe at checkout, and shared back to us so we can ship the finished piece.
• Payment information — card details are entered directly into Stripe and never reach our servers. We only receive a confirmation that payment succeeded.

2. How we use it

• To produce, communicate about, and ship your commission.
• To send transactional email (order confirmation, shipping updates).
• To keep records required for accounting and Canadian tax obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing email unless you opt in.

3. Service providers

We share data only with the providers needed to fulfill your order:

• Stripe — payment processing and shipping address collection. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Email and hosting providers — to deliver transactional email and host this website.
• Shipping carriers — to deliver the finished piece to you in Canada.

4. Reference images

Reference images you upload are used solely as creative input for Carla. We don’t publish, share, or use them for marketing without your explicit written consent.

5. Retention

Order records are kept for as long as required by Canadian tax law (currently six years). Reference images are deleted within 90 days of delivery unless you ask us to keep them on file for a follow-up commission.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we’re required to retain). Email hello@rootar.ca and we’ll respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe may set cookies during checkout to operate its payment flow.
